ITACHI DESIGN BEGLERI

Hi, I’m Kato. ITACHIDESIGN is a graphic design company based in Hiroshima, Japan. I usually work with advertisements. However, because I found my hobby of Kendama and other skill toys, I made an opportunity as a designer to contribute through designing my own product. Do you know the toy called Begleri? It is a skill toy originated in Greece. It has two beads on each end of a string, which you can wrap around your fingers and perform tricks similar to pen spinning. Certain begleri tricks could be easier/harder depending on the shape and weight of the bead, thickness and length of the string. Personally, I find smaller and lighter beads easier to use, so I needed to design something that met my needs. Of course, the design is all based on my personal preference. Kazuhiro Karo ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー はじめまして。カトウと申します。 ITACHIDESIGNは、日本の広島市でひっそりと活動しているグラフィックデザインの会社。 普段は広告デザインを請け負う仕事をしていますが、趣味でけん玉やベグレリなどのスキルトイにハマり、 デザイナーであるからには自分でデザインした商品を作りたいと思いこの場を設けました。 ベグレリというおもちゃを知っていますか？起源はギリシャ発祥の手遊びのおもちゃ。 紐の両端にオモリがついていて、指に絡ませたり回したりしてペン回しのような遊び方ができるスキルトイです。 ベグレリは、形状と重さ、紐の太さや長さによってやりやすい技が異なります。 個人的には小径で軽めのビーズが使いやすいと思っていて、それを手にするには自分でデザインして作るしかありませんでした。 当然デザインも自分好み。そんな自己満足で作ったベグレリですが、同じような物を求めている方がいらっしゃったら、 是非、私の作った「ID-ONE シリーズ」を使ってみてください。 ここは私の創作意欲のおもむくままに変化して行くと思いますが、そんな「ITACHIDESIGN」を今後もよろしくお願いいたします。 加藤 和弘
